The City of Lewisville is proud to announce Randy Rogers Band and Gary Allan will headline the annual Western Days festival Sept. 28-29 in Old Town Lewisville.
Randy Rogers Band (randyrogersband.com) will be the featured act on Friday night, taking the Waste Management Main Stage at 10 p.m.
Randy Rogers Band formed in 2000 in San Marcos and burst onto the scene with its debut album, “Live at Cheatham Street Warehouse.” The same lineup has been performing together since 2002, and the music has evolved as they’ve soaked up life experiences. The band experienced nationwide success and recognition with the release of its “Rollercoaster” album in 2004. Two songs from that album made the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts in early 2005.
The band has released seven albums, many receiving critical acclaim, spawning multiple Billboard hits. “One More Sad Song,” released in 2012, was the band’s first Top 40 hit. Three of their albums went to No. 1 on iTunes.
Saturday’s headliner will be Gary Allan (garyallan.com/wired), closing out the weekend festival at 10 p.m. on the Waste Management Main Stage.
Gary Allan has won over fans, peers and critics with his signature blend of smoldering vocals, rebellious lyrics and raucous live performances. While becoming a force on the country music scene, Allan has remained true to his artistic voice each step of the way. His latest album, “Set You Free,” topped the Billboard 200, a career first for Allan. The album also made its debut at the top of the Billboard Country Album chart and produced his fifth No. 1 country radio chart topper with “Every Storm Runs Out of Rain.”
The California native has sold more than 7 million albums since breaking on the scene back in 1996. He has been certified platinum on three consecutive albums and certified gold five times. Allan has five #1 hits on country radio, 14 Top 10 hits to his credit, and has amassed over 270 million total streams.
Something new for 2018 is the addition of a third outdoor stage. It will be located along S. Charles Street, near Samuel, out in front of Witherspoon Distillery, 225 S. Charles Street.
In addition to the headliners, several other well-known groups will be performing throughout the festival, providing a wide-ranging soundtrack for the day’s events. A full performance schedule can be found online.
