Nightly double-lane closures on I-35E from FM 407 to Fox

WHEN: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Tuesday, May 30 through Sunday, June 4

WHERE: Southbound Interstate 35E from FM 407 to Fox Avenue and Crosby Road to Valley View Lane

There will be nightly double lane closures to place pavement on the southbound I-35E mainlanes from FM 407 to Fox Avenue in Lewisville from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Tuesday, May 30 through Sunday, June 4.

Drivers should expect uneven pavement and rough road surface conditions in this area until the paving process is completed.

As part of these operations, the following ramps will be closed (no two ramps will be closed simultaneously):

  • The southbound I-35E exit ramp to Valley Ridge Boulevard. During this ramp closure, traffic will take the FM 407 exit ramp and continue south along the frontage road to Valley Ridge Boulevard.
  • The southbound I-35E entrance ramp from Valley Ridge Boulevard. During this ramp closure, traffic will continue south along the frontage road to the southbound I-35E entrance ramp from FM 1171/Main Street.
  • The southbound I-35E exit ramp to FM 1171/Main Street. During this ramp closure, traffic will take Valley Ridge Boulevard exit and continue south along the frontage road to FM 1171/Main Street.
  • The southbound I-35E entrance ramp from FM 1171/Main Street. During this ramp closure, traffic will continue south along the frontage road to the southbound I-35E entrance ramp from Fox Avenue.
  • The southbound I-35E exit ramp to Fox Avenue. During this ramp closure, traffic will take FM 1171/Main Street exit and continue south along the frontage road to Fox Avenue.
  • The southbound I-35E entrance ramp from Fox Avenue. During this ramp closure, traffic will continue south along the frontage road to the southbound I-35E entrance ramp from SH 121 Business.

This work is related to the 35Express project, the $1.4 billion expansion of I-35E between U.S. Highway 380 in Denton County and I-635 in Dallas County. All closures are subject to weather conditions and may be postponed, if necessary.
