“All gave some; some gave all.”

This weekend, remember the sacrifices of those who have given their lives in service to our nation.

Monday, May 28, is Memorial Day— a time to remember and honor the sacrifices of those who died while serving our country in uniform.

At 8 a.m. Monday, join The Lewisville Texan Journal for a low-key remembrance in front of Lewisville City Hall, 151 W. Church Street, in front of the Veterans Memorial.

The brief service is a time for participants to say a few words, recite a poem, remember a loved one who served, or share a prayer or song.

The non-political, non-sectarian event is free and open to the public.

City offices will be closed Monday, May 28, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. All essential city services will continue to operate.  DCTA bus and train services will not run on Memorial Day.  Denton County offices will be closed on Monday as well.

The Lewisville Texan Journal hopes that everyone enjoys the day, and whatever fun activities they have planned for the holiday, and that each will pause to remember the price paid for the freedom.
