Lewisville resident arrested for repeated domestic abuse

Via Denton Record Chronicle:

Lewisville resident Athmaram Pabbathi married his wife as part of an arranged marriage in India in 2016, according to an arrest affidavit.

Now, almost two years after the couple moved to the United States, he is accused of repeatedly slapping her and, at one point, hitting her with a belt buckle in 2017, the document states.

Pabbathi was arrested and booked into the Lewisville City Jail on March 22 on a charge of continuous violence against the family, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison if convicted.
