Lewisville police were briefly involved in a manhunt in the area around FM 3040 and Rockbrook, and Oakbend Tuesday afternoon.  Captain Kendall Lynn said that the man they are looking for is a suspect in a theft of about $300 from the Firehouse Subs restaurant at 2325 S. Stemmons Fwy.  Officers responded to a call about 5:09 p.m.

Officers were looking for a black male with camouflage pants and a red shirt (or possibly no shirt).  Lynn said they had a K-9 unit tracking the suspect initially, but the dog was unsuccessful in locating him.

Lynn said that officers have determined the incident to be a theft rather than a robbery, as no weapon was produced, and nobody was hurt.  The suspect was pursued by witnesses who were not able to catch him.

The theft is under investigation, and officers are following up on a lead that the man might have been a former employee.
