Update — 10/10/2017:
Lewisville Fire Department Division Chief Mark Richards, who is in charge of investigations, now says that both of the fires on the ACE property were arsons, set by someone intentionally. “I can’t go into great details about the cases but we are trying to follow up on a few leads and tips,” Richards wrote. “We are definitely working hard to find the people involved.”
Anyone with information about who may have started these fires should call Richards at 972-219-3595 or email email@example.com.
Original story — 10/8/2017:
For the second time in three days, fire has ravaged an unoccupied house on the property of Accelerated Christian Education on the northwest corner of Valley Parkway and Spinks Road.
The first fire was called in Thursday night at 9:09 p.m., and burned a house about 800 feet from the gate on Spinks Road. The fire Sunday night burned a different house closer to the road. Firefighters were dispatched at about 9:35 p.m.
Most of those responding to the fire Sunday night work were on duty for Thursday night’s fire.
The structure was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. The flames were visible even from FM 3040. Firefighters were able to get in, get water to it, and get it extinguished quickly.
Division Chief Mark Richards said that he had begun to investigate the first fire. A second one in three days had Richards saying it was suspicious.
