This article relates to voters who live in Lewisville, TX and will vote in the City of Lewisville and Lewisville ISD elections.

Candidate Filing Period
Candidates file for election in city council and school board elections from Jan. 17 – Feb. 16. Filing information can be obtained from the Lewisville City Secretary or the Lewisville ISD Superintendent’s office.
City of Lewisville City Council
The positions of Mayor and City Council Place 2 are up for election this year. Both positions serve three-year terms. The following candidates have filed:

Early Voting
The Lewisville Texan Journal recommends all voters consider voting early, since hours are often more convenient, lines are shorter, and there is time to deal with any sort of problems with registration. In addition, early voting can generally be done at any voting location, whereas election day voting can only be done at your specific precinct location which may vary from year to year.
Denton County
Denton County residents may vote early at any Denton County early voting location. Denton County has a map of polling locations.
Early voting locations for Denton County that are convenient to Lewisville residents are:
- Lewisville Municipal Annex – 1197 W. Main St., Lewisville
- Flower Mound Police and Court Building – 4150 Kirkpatrick, Flower Mound
- Highland Village Municipal Complex – 1000 Highland Village Rd., Highland Village
- Carrollton Public Library – 4220 N. Josey Ln., Carrollton
The polls for early voting are open on the following days and times:
- Monday, April 23 – Saturday, April 28: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Monday, April 30 – Tuesday, May 1: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Dallas County
Most Lewisville residents live in Denton County, but a small number live in Dallas County. If you are unsure, you can check your voter registration card.
Early voting for Dallas County residents of Lewisville will be most convenient at the Coppell Town Center, 255 E. Parkway Blvd. in Coppell.
Dallas County early voting is held the following days and hours:
- Monday, April 23 – Saturday, April 28: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Monday, April 30 – Tuesday, May 1: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Election Day Voting
On election day, May 5, you must vote only in your assigned precinct polling location. These locations vary depending on your precinct, which political party’s primary you are voting in, and may change from year to year. If you don’t know which precinct you are in, you must check your registration or your voter ID card.
Election day voting is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 5.
Generally, Denton County Lewisville voters must vote at the Lewisville Municipal Annex, 1197 W. Main Street. (Full list for other locations and precincts)
