Keep Lewisville Beautiful will hold its Garden Secrets class, “Saving from a Rainy Day: DIY Making a Rain Barrel” on Thursday, May 19, 6-8 p.m., at MCL Grand, 100 N. Charles Street.
Join KLB and Texas Agrilife Water University for this DIY rain barrel class, in which you will get to build and take home your very own 55-gallon rain barrel. Come learn the basics and benefits of rainwater harvesting and the effects storm water has on the environment.
The cost is $30 for the supplies and seats are limited to the first 30 people who RSVP. Additional barrels can be purchased for $50. All participants will need to provide transportation for their barrels to their homes at the conclusion of the class. Register online here. RSVP by Tuesday, May 17.
