Keep Lewisville Beautiful and the City of Lewisville are teaming up for the annual Trinity Trash Bash waterway clean-up 8-11:30 a.m. Nov. 12 at Lewisville Lake Park.

Multiple volunteer opportunities are available, including shoreline and creek clean-ups, and a guided kayak clean-up of the Trinity River. An educational expo and Texas Arbor Day celebration also will be held on site.

KLB is looking for volunteers and sponsors for this event. Groups will be assigned locations and supplies to clean on the day of the event. All tools will be provided by KLB. Shirts, door prizes and goodie bags will be given away to volunteers after the clean-up on a first-come, first-served basis. Prizes will be awarded for groups who collect the most trash and find the weirdest item. Participants are asked to wear long sleeves, pants and sturdy shoes.

Educational booth spaces are available. Contact Amy Wells at 972-538-5949 for information regarding how organizations or businesses can get involved. To register for this event, contact the KLB office at 972-538-5949, email or visit
