Together Lewisville Coalition to hold Community Resource Expo

The Together Lewisville Coalition will hold the first Community Resource Expo 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 3 at the Next Steps Center, 1305 SH 121 Business.

The Together Lewisville Coalition is partnering with the Next Steps Center to bring together city, county and nonprofit organizations to better inform residents of available social services, resources and programs. The goal of this expo is to gain awareness of community needs while giving attendees a greater understanding of the spectrum of available services. Attendees will have the opportunity to take advantage of several services such as getting their blood pressure and glucose levels checked and free haircuts.

Participating organizations include Journey to Dream, RSVP: Serving Denton County, Habitat for Humanity of Denton County, Denton County MHMR Center, Salvation Army, Health Services of North Texas, Communities in Schools North Texas, New Hope Learning Center, Christian Community Actions, Denton County Friends of the Family, Youth and Family Counseling, Grace Compassion Home Health Agency, DCTA, Camp Summit, WTF – Winning The Fight and Military Veteran Peer Network.

This is a free event, and light refreshments will be served.    

The Together Lewisville Coalition is a coalition of government entities, social service agencies, faith-based institutions and business with an interest in making Lewisville a better place. The primary aim of TLC is to create connections, sync efforts, and expand the reach of local community support networks all while recognizing the unique missions of each TLC member.
