High Octavez, a non-profit live music band, brings it’s STARQUEST – Music & Dance Showdown fundraiser to Lewisville 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 2 at the MCL Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles St.
This event will feature a competition to recognize the best dance and music talent in the DFW area. Music categories include light, semi-classical and solo artists. Dance categories include non-classical and group entries. The competition will be broken down between elementary kids, middle school kids, high school kids and adults over 18.
Registration is open until Aug. 30 at highoctavez.org/starquest. Registration fees are $20 for solo music performances, $20 for solo dance performances and $60 for group dance performances, with a maximum of eight dancers in each group.
High Octavez is a 501c3 non-profit, tax-exempt organization that uses music to give back to the community. All proceeds from the performances and fundraisers go to underprivileged, terminally-ill patients. High Octavez has supported more than 100 families to date.
