To advance its mission to make healthcare a reality for every kid, PediPlace will celebrate the grand re-opening of its expanded and remodeled Lewisville clinic at 5 p.m. on Oct. 13. This celebration event offers tours of the remodeled and expanded clinic and includes a Lewisville Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting.
PediPlace is a non-profit pediatric healthcare practice for children from birth through 18 who are uninsured or who qualify for Medicaid or Children’s Health Insurance Program benefits. Designated by the State of Texas as a site serving a medically underserved population, PediPlace provides quality, compassionate, family-centered healthcare designed to serve as a medical home for 7,000 children annually that tend to be from low income families who otherwise would go without care or who would unnecessarily use the emergency room.
“As the healthcare landscape continues to change, PediPlace continues providing a successful local solution that allows family to access quality affordable pediatric healthcare. We are so proud of our staff team and so grateful to our community partners for their commitment that recognizes the value and importance of our mission,” board of directors chair Melissa DeWitt said.
The expansion enables PediPlace to create four additional exam spaces and a more efficient clinic flow for patients and staff. Larger waiting rooms and a remodeled clinic creates a more family friendly clinic environment. This project also increases capacity by 1,000 patients annually. This capital project was funded in part by a significant community development block grant from the City of Lewisville.
PediPlace is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday with hours extending to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening. Office visits for sick or preventive care are by appointment. To learn more about PediPlace, volunteer, or make a donation, please visit www.pediplace.org.
