LPD Sergeant receives Air Force promotion


Lewisville Police Sergeant Gordon Blair was recently selected by the U.S. Air Force for promotion to Chief Master Sergeant. Sgt. Blair has been serving the citizens of Lewisville for 23 years and currently leads the Neighborhood Resource Officers and School Resource Officers in addition to leading Police Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT).

Blair is assigned to the 301st Security Forces Squadron at NAS Fort Worth, Joint Reserve Base as a Security Forces Manager/Training and Operations Superintendent. An Air Force Reservist, Blair manages 145 security forces personnel who provide force protection duties to the Air Force.

Blair entered the Air Force in August 1986 after graduating from high school in Lancaster, Texas. After completing Air Force Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, he served on active duty for six years. He was stationed as a Security Forces member within the Ground Launch Cruise Missiles Program in Europe and the United States during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
