Lewisville Police Department announces change in crime map service

Effective Nov. 1, the LPD is changing its public crime mapping service from Motorola’s CrimeReport to LexisNexis Community Crime Map, formerly known as RaidsOnline by Bair Analytics.

Community Crime Map offers users greater functionality. The map links to the Tip411 anonymous crime tip service, allowing residents to make a tip directly from the map. Residents also can sign up for a periodic report of incidents occurring around a defined address.

LexisNexis Community Crime Map connects law enforcement with the community to reduce crime and improve public safety. Crime mapping helps the public get a better idea of the crime activity in their area so they can make more informed decisions about how to stay safe.

Residents can access the crime map by visiting https://communitycrimemap.com and can download the free mobile app by searching for RaidsOnline in the Android or Apple stores.
