“Life is not over at 65,” Maxine Bodenhamer, 83, said. She said she wants to encourage other seniors to join Seniors Helping Seniors Mobile Technology Class, a program where Lewisville High School upperclassmen teach seniors how to use smartphones, tablets and laptops.

LHS seniors in student council drive to the Memorial Park Rec Center every other Wednesday during their third period to help with the program. Here are some photos from this weeks session.

Former director of program development Joe Seiler created the program, said Becky Warren, the current director.

“Joe has recently been asked to make presentations to both the Keller ISD and Richardson ISD concerning this program,” she said. “Both have indicated their hopes of replicating this program after the first of next year.”

The next class is at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 2. Contact Becky Warren at 972-345-5232 to reserve a spot in the class.
