Hey! Day celebrates family, education and community, and is packed with information and fun designed to celebrate the new school year and rally support for students at Lewisville High School (LHS) and its feeder schools.
Past, present and future LHS Farmers are bound together by pride and tradition. We invite you to join us at Max Goldsmith Stadium on Friday, Aug. 12 from 6:30-9 p.m. for the fifth annual Hey! Day! Enjoy games, food, local vendors, band music, a pep rally and also mix and mingle with LHS student-athletes, coaches and school and Lewisville ISD leaders. Admission is free, so Farmer fans, show your pride and pack the stands!
Hey! Day 2016 guests are asked to please bring gently used books (picture, chapter, best sellers, fiction, non-fiction, etc.) for the launch of the #FarmersREAD Literacy Campaign. Help get high-interest books in the hands and homes of students throughout the LISD Central Zone!
Look for the #FarmersREAD booth near the Hey! Day entrance.
With each donation, you will be entered into a raffle for numerous prizes donated by local businesses. Winners will be announced on the official Hey! Day Twitter (@Farmer_Hey_Day) with the hashtag: #FarmersREAD.
A Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course will be put on and designed by Rockbrook Elementary Physical Education teacher Martha Murphy. All LISD Central Zone elementary schools and middle schools will be represented by one boy and one girl. It will take place in the middle of the field during Hey! Day. The winners will be awarded trophies. Prior to the finals, all guests are welcome to participate. This is to add excitement for elementary and middle school childen.
