Keep Lewisville Beautiful will hold a free Garden Secrets class, “Natives in the Suburbs,” 6 to 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at the MCL Grand, 100 N. Charles St.

Join KLB and Liz Moyer of the Denton County Master Gardeners Association and the Native Plant Society of Texas for a talk about natives. Having lived in North Texas for more than 40 years, Liz sympathizes with our special gardening challenges. This class will explain why natives are a great choice for our landscapes, what natives will perform best here, and how to include natives in a way that will keep you and your neighbors happy.

Keep Lewisville Beautiful is partnering with the City of Lewisville to provide classes throughout the year as an initiative of the Lewisville 2025 vision plan. The plan can be viewed at cityoflewisville.com/Lewisville2025.

The last class of 2018 will be “Foodscaping” on Nov. 15.
