Join the City of Lewisville and celebrate the season at the annual Holiday Stroll, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow, Dec. 1 in Old Town Lewisville.

Come out and enjoy a pancake breakfast with Santa, get your picture taken with Santa, take in the spectacle that is the Motorcycle Toy Run, and be there when we flip the switch on Lewisville Lights!

At noon, grab a spot along Main Street and check out the Huffines Auto Dealerships Lewisville Christmas Parade. Recently retired Lewisville Police Chief Russ Kerbow is the Grand Marshal for this year’s parade. It will start at Cowan Street, travel east on Main Street, turn north on Mill Street, turn west on Church Street and end in front of Twisted Root Burger Company restaurant.

Memphis Soul will perform at 8:45 a.m. on the Lone Star Toyota of Lewisville Stage in Wayne Ferguson Plaza, The Lovesick Poets will perform at 3:45 p.m., and Two Tons of Steel will perform at 5:15 p.m.

New this year will be the Ultimate Gingerbread House Contest sponsored by Love’s Residential Realty. $20 gift cards will be awarded for winners of the funny, Santa’s Village and Old Town categories and $100 gift cards will be awarded to the Best in Show and People’s Choice award winners. The People’s Choice winner is voted on by Holiday Stroll attendees in a poll that will run until one hour before the tree lighting. The winner will be announced at the tree lighting ceremony.

Attendees also will be able to enjoy a winter carnival, pony rides and a petting zoo, several local dance groups, and hay rides though Old Town. At 6:30 p.m., Mayor Rudy Durham and the Salvation Army Band will join forces for the Lewisville Lights ceremony in Wayne Ferguson Plaza, flipping the switch to turn on the city’s Christmas tree and tens of thousands of lights along Main and Church streets, on Lewisville City Hall and the MCL Grand, and in Wayne Ferguson Plaza.

Following Lewisville Lights! The 1994 holiday movie “The Santa Clause” will play at 6:45 p.m. in Wayne Ferguson Plaza. Attendees are welcome to bring blankets and chairs and cozy up for a family holiday film under the stars.

Sponsors for the 2018 Holiday Stroll include Huffines Auto Dealerships Lewisville, EnviroServe, City of Lewisville, and Medical City Lewisville Grand Theater.
